When people hear Stacy Reed’s story, the word ordinary doesn’t seem to fit—but that’s exactly what makes her testimony so extraordinary. As a wife and mom of 11, a foster parent, ministry leader, and passionate advocate for the vulnerable, Stacy has quietly but boldly lived out her faith, one obedient “yes” at a time.

Alongside her husband, Dave, Stacy has built a home centered around service to God and others. Together, they launched and led a Young Marrieds small group. They also organized marriage retreats and taught Financial Peace University both at home and in church. Their heart is to help couples build stronger, Christ-centered marriages.

Their most life-changing ministry has been through foster care. Over 12 years, Stacy and Dave welcomed 39 children into their home, ultimately adopting eight into their forever family. Stacy also became a steady voice in the foster and adoptive community by leading support groups, teaching classes, and speaking for orphan-care nonprofits as well as county children’s services.

Her passion is rooted in justice and mercy. She lives out her belief that “being a warrior means we have access to power within us to right the wrongs we see, to meet needs when we can, to fight for injustices to be righted, to change the world, to be a voice for the vulnerable people around us.”

Stacy’s heart for serving extends far beyond her home. She leads Women’s Bible Study and has made countless meals for those in crisis. She has volunteered in church nursery/preschool rooms as well as taught 5th and 6th graders, investing in the next generation with gospel truth. With Dave and their 11 children, Stacy has faithfully tithed and given offerings. Their family has made military care packages and invited neighbors to church in creative ways, including hosting an impromptu neighborhood potluck. They’ve also served with ministries such as Operation Christmas Child, Matthew 25 Ministries, Hands Against Hunger, Beech Acres, Warm Welcomes, Hopes Closet, and Compassion International.

Stacy thrives in her God-given spiritual gifts: Administration, Mercy, Hospitality, Intercession, Helps, and Leadership. Whether she’s connecting someone with the right resources, stepping in to meet a need, or simply being a safe and welcoming presence, Stacy does it all to reflect the heart of Jesus. She serves not for applause, but to show practical faith in action.

She’s a list-maker and a helper, a doer and a dreamer, a bold warrior and a tender comforter. She’s the one who quietly shows up, prepares the way, makes the meal, leads the group, rocks the baby, welcomes the hurting, and still has a warm smile to offer. Her life is a daily reminder that being extraordinary in the Kingdom often looks a lot like ordinary obedience. Stacy Reed is proof that God uses ordinary people in everyday life to bring heaven a little closer to earth.
