Alpha is a friendly, open, and conversational environment. Whether you’re skeptical, exploring faith, or wrestling with doubt, Alpha is a safe place for you to bring your questions and connect with others.
Whether it’s friends gathered around a kitchen table, or a quick catch-up over coffee, food has a way of breaking down walls and bringing people to together. Each Alpha begins by sharing a meal together.
Each week we’ll watch a 30-minute video designed to explore big issues around faith and unpack the basics of Christianity.
Conversation is the heartbeat of Alpha. This is a chance for you to share your perspective on the week’s topic and hear from others. There’s no obligation for you to say anything, and there’s also nothing you can’t say.
Alpha is offered multiple times per year, typically in the Winter and Fall. The class meets on a weeknight over 11 weeks and includes a Saturday experience.
No! Everything at Alpha, including the weekly meal, is free. While not required, each Alpha participant is welcome to purchase an Alpha workbook for $10.
Everyone is welcome at Alpha, but the class is designed for people who don’t identify as Christians or who are wrestling with doubt about their Christian faith. The class is accessible for anyone high school age and above and you don’t have to attend Rivers Crossing to participate.
On-site childcare is not available for Alpha. But for those who need it, we can offer childcare reimbursement for the nights that Alpha meets.
We’d love to connect with you! Reach out to Hayley Cranfield, the Director of Groups, at hcranfield@riverscrossing.com.
