I believe God gives each of us passions, talents, and abilities — not just for our own enjoyment, but as tools to see the lost saved and the saved encouraged. True freedom, fulfillment, and purpose are possible, but only through obedience and surrender to the call of Christ.

Years ago, my pastor and friend Paul Taylor said something I’ll never forget:

“God’s way is always, always, always the best way.”

That simple truth has shaped my life and continues to guide every step.

Though I’ve been involved in men’s ministry for more than two decades, much of my early work was focused on a ministry called HisPins Archery. With the help of a faithful team and by God’s provision, what began as a small outreach eventually spread to 15 states and 8 countries — using archery as a tool to share the gospel and encourage families. It was more than I ever imagined. And it was good. God used it in powerful ways.

But over time, He made something clear in my heart:

That was good… but it wasn’t the best.

God showed me that the most important battle I could fight wasn’t through programs or platforms — it was for the hearts of men. Because that’s where real change begins. That’s where marriages are strengthened, families healed, churches awakened, and communities renewed.

With that clarity, I stepped away from the archery ministry and leaned fully into what God was calling me to — helping men awaken to their purpose and walk in the freedom only Christ can give.

Today, I carry out that mission through The Everyman Challenge and leadership retreats like Crest the Summit — spaces where men are challenged to take ownership of their lives, pursue God wholeheartedly, and lead with courage and integrity.

A quote that has helped me overcome fear more than once are the words of Charles Stanley to his son:

“In Christ, if you win, you win. And if you lose… you still win.”

That reminder gave me peace. Because when your life is surrendered to Jesus, nothing is wasted.

Now, I simply try to say “yes” to Him each day — and invite other men to do the same.

Because when a man follows Jesus with his whole heart, the impact reaches far beyond what he’ll ever see.

With all that said, I could never have walked this road alone. My incredible wife, Myla, has stood faithfully by my side through thick and thin. Together, we’ve navigated the incredible adventure of following Jesus — and I’m beyond grateful for her strength, wisdom, and partnership.

Any and all success I’ve experienced, I give all glory and honor to Jesus, my Lord.
