Providing women with the opportunity to become fully engaged followers of Christ

All women deserve the right to live an extraordinary life. However, statistics reveal that as many as one in three women have experienced sexual abuse by the time they are 25 years old. Sexual abuse is a most heinous and violent crime against a woman, and the pain, shame, and silence that result can leave a woman feeling paralyzed for the rest of her life. Sexual abuse is never the fault of the woman; however, it is her responsibility to seek help if she wants to experience healing, restoration, and freedom. Restoration: Beauty From Ashes is an 11-week Bible study and support group, with new groups starting in Winter 2022. More than 250 women from Rivers Crossing have experienced this journey and are testimony of God’s restorative healing. You can be too.

Please note that the Restoration experience is not a replacement for professional therapy but is a place where women with similar experiences have the support they need to live as they seek God’s healing. Emphasis is not given towards the abuse itself but to what is left behind such as shame, guilt, bitterness, struggling relationships, poor self-esteem, anger, and anxiety. If this is your story, please make a commitment to attend all 11 weeks this winter, by joining this loving and supportive community of women survivors who have experienced God’s grace and healing.

Registration and group details are kept confidential and handled by the Restoration leadership team. To register for an upcoming study or speak with a ministry leader, please complete the following form.

To all who mourn in Israel, God will give a crown of beauty for ashes,
a joyous blessing instead of mourning, festive praise instead of despair.

In their righteousness, they will be like great oaks
that the Lord has planted for his own glory.

Fall Women’s Bible Study

Every serious believer longs to summon up the kind of boldness and faith that can stand firm on Mount Carmel and pray down heaven into impossible situations. Yet few are willing to go through the process required to get them there. Strength of faith, character, and boldness can only be shaped in the hidden fires of silence, sameness, solitude, and adversity. Those who patiently wait on God in the darkness emerge with their holy loyalty cemented, their courage emblazoned, and their confident belief in Him set afire.

Join Priscilla Shirer on this journey through the life and times of the prophet Elijah to discover how the fire on Mount Carmel was forged in the valley of famine. And how the emboldened, fiery faith you desire is being fashioned by God in your life right now.

Cost to participate in Women’s Bible Study is $20. This covers the Elijah Bible Study workbook. Childcare is available on Wednesday mornings at our Mason campus for $25 for one child $5 for every additional child (space is limited).
