OUR RESPONSE TO CORONAVIRUS

March 17, 2020

Hi Rivers Crossing Family,

We had an incredible Sunday worshipping with you online this week. This morning, Pastor Jeff Sharp and I met with church leaders from around Cincinnati. As you may know, our government leaders are encouraging all of us to stay home as much as possible and limit our gatherings to less than 10 people. With that in mind, and to reflect the heart of our city, we will not be meeting in person for the next four weeks.

Online-Only Sunday Services

Our hope is to be able to gather together as soon as possible, but in the meantime, we believe we can continue to learn and grow together as a church by worshipping together in our homes. We will continue to host live worship services every Sunday at 9am, 10:45am, 12:30pm and 5pm. If you’ll be watching on Facebook, we encourage you to share it on your feed or host a Facebook Watch Party. If you’ll be watching at riverscrossing.com or through Roku or Apple TV, consider inviting someone to join you by sending them the link. This is an incredible opportunity to spread the good news of Jesus with our family and friends.

Mid-Week Programs

All of our teams are working hard to move our ministries online. Celebrate Recovery and all of our Next Gen ministries (Tribes, Collide, River Kids, Young Adults) will be connecting with you through social media, livestreams, and more. Please follow each of their accounts on Facebook and Instagram for specific updates.

Even though we’re not gathering in-person for church, you still have the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of others by giving your tithe through at riverscrossing.com/give.

We love you, we are praying for you, and we can’t wait to connect with you online.

In Christ,
Pastor Paul Taylor

This week, Gov. DeWine announced that all Ohio public schools will close for three weeks. Many students in our area depend on their local schools for free and reduced breakfast and lunches throughout the school year. The sudden and unexpected nature of this cancellation leaves many families struggling to find resources for food.  Additionally, many hourly workers will be without income if their employer closes temporarily.
Our Ministry, Joshua’s Place is partnering with Kings, Mason, Lebanon, Little Miami and Deer Park school districts to help provide meals for students during this unexpected cancellation. Our goal is to collect, package and distribute Student Meal Kits to families that need them.
We will be collecting donations daily from 10:30am-12pm at the Deer Park Campus. Once collected, Joshua’s Place volunteers will inventory, pack and distribute the meal kits.
