FAQ

There is no cost to participate.

We will reserve one table with 8 chairs for you and your family. We can add a few additional chairs to accommodate larger families if needed.

Besides your friends, family, and child (don’t forget them at home!), please bring a printed copy of the “homework.” If you don’t mind sharing its contents with your guests, we suggest bringing a copy for everyone.

Invite your friends and family. Two invitations are included in your packet. You will also need to watch two short videos in preparation for the event. These videos contain homework assignments to be shared on celebration day. You can access the videos above.

Doors open at 3:30 pm on Saturday, March 7th, half an hour before the celebration start time.

Wear whatever you and your little one will feel most comfortable in! We do create a special environment similar to a baby shower, and there will be photo opportunities. Many people choose business casual attire for this event.

No. We believe that a child must be old enough to understand what it means to put their faith in Jesus before they can be baptized. This event is an opportunity for you as parents to publicly declare that you want to raise your child to develop their own relationship with Jesus.

Your child will make noise during the celebration day event, but that’s okay, because so will everyone else’s! The dedication is short so most of the time will be spent in a less formal environment where babies won’t need to be quiet.

We will have a looping slide show playing throughout the celebration event to highlight each child. Some people choose formal pictures while others prefer a candid, fun image. Either one is great!

We will have a photography vignette set up for family photos. Please bring your own camera, and we will furnish a staff member or volunteer to take your picture.

The event should last no more than one hour. We will begin in the main auditorium for the dedication. We will move to the lobby where you will find a table with your child’s name on it and gather there with your family and friends. During that time, you will share your homework, eat cake, and create a celebration plate for your child.
